marriagehoney: no, but can we talk more about THIS kiss.  let’s not even start on the fact that it was the Doctor who initiated it - and let’s be real here - this is the first time the Doctor has initiated a proper romantic kiss - nine kissed Rose but she wasn’t conscious and we still don’t know whether he did it just to get vortex out of her - he kissed martha but it was a genetic transfer, astrid was just atoms, and he was a robot when he kissed River at the wedding- and all the other times, - it was the other person that initiated it. This is the same Doctor who lost control of his arms when River, Amy and then Clara first kissed him - this is the same guy who stutters and get confused when Clara makes a suggestive joke.  I know most people might say it was a kiss goodbye - but to me it looked more like hello - cause it was right after he told her he could see her, and how much it hurt for him to talk to her. to me it looked like he was apologizing for not talking to her before, and ensuring her that he didn’t do it because he didn’t want to - on the contrary, he wanted to very much - he just couldn’t bear it - and this is why: he loves her.  he loves this woman so much that he married her, he loves her so much that when he lost her, and her parents, he went to sulk on a cloud. He loves her so much that just mentioning her full name hurts - so he started calling her Professor Song. He loves her so much that when he had the chance to say goodbye he couldn’t, because he couldn’t bear the thought of not seeing her again. You can argue all you want - but you can’t look at that kiss, and tell me he was forced to do anything in that relationship - he always had a choice, and despite knowing how she died, he made the choice to love her.
